Happyness have shared a new single, Anna, Lisa Calls.
The track is from the trio's new EP, ‘Tunnel Vision On Your Part’, which is due September 23 via Moshi Moshi Records. It will include the previously released single SB's Truck, which came out in May and was their first new material since their 2014 debut, 'Weird Little Birthday'.
Discussing the new song, the band said:
“This is our first phone call song and our 5th song in E major. We wrote it one day in the studio in June and recorded it straight away - I think we were going for a kind of Traveling Wilburys thing. Also we felt like we hadn't put a synth in a song for a while, so there's a synth.”
Happyness will play two EP release shows in London. The first at the Finsbury on September 30 and the second at Vauxhall City Farm on October 8. Discussing the latter, the band said:
“Vauxhall City Farm (www.vauxhallcityfarm.org) is one of our favourite spots in London & just up the road from where we wrote most of 'Weird Little Birthday'. As part of the release of our new EP, 'Tunnel Vision On Your Part', we're adopting the farm for the evening of October 8th for a stripped back show - playing songs from the EP, and some from our upcoming second album. Tickets are available now exclusively from Music Glue & all come with a download link or limited 12" vinyl of the EP. ALL AGES WELCOME.”
The band will also support Twin Peaks on their European tour, which includes UK stops in Brighton, Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester and London between October 20 and 26.
