Common, Stevie Wonder Combine For Black America Again Video

Thursday, 22 September 2016 Written by Huw Baines

Common has released a video for Black America Again.

The track, which features Stevie Wonder, Esperanza Spalding, Chuck D, MC Lyte, J Rock, Patrick Warren and production from Karriem Riggins and Robert Glasper, is set to feature on a new LP of the same name.

The video is a response to recent police killings of black people in the US and begins with footage of the shooting of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in July. “Here we go again. Trayvon [Martin] will never get to be an older man,” Common raps in its opening line.
