Common tour dates and tickets

Common is an American rapper hailing from Chicago, Illinois. Born in 1972, he has been one of the most influential rappers in the underground hip-hop scene of the ‘90s, first emerging with his debut LP ‘Can I Borrow a Dollar?’ back in 1992.

As the years went by, Common would enter the mainstream and even found himself on the receiving end of Grammy Award nominations, picking up two as well as half a dozen other gongs. Also a talented actor, he is still writing rhymes and releasing tracks to this day, and returned with his tenth studio album ‘Nobody’s Smiling’ in 2014. He supports the album with a tour that reaches the UK for four dates in November - check below to find tickets.

A recent cover of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo featured a cartoon of a terrified Barack Obama fleeing a hail of police bullets, accompanied by the headline ‘Obama, an ordinary citizen once again’. Its message is clear: the eight years served by America’s first black president didn’t result in a more tolerant society but, following the surprise election of Donald Trump, ended with a dangerous groundswell of racism among America’s white population.
