De La Soul are an American hip-hop group from Long Island, New York, consisting of Posdnuos, Dave, and Maseo.
The group released their debut album, ‘3 Feet High and Rising’ in 1989, which spawned the single Me Myself and I. The group went on to release a further eight albums, including ‘De La Soul Is Dead’, in 1991, and ‘Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump’, in 2000. In 2006 they won a Grammy for their collaboration with Gorillaz on the single Feel Good Inc. The group dropped their ninth LP ‘And the Anonymous Nobody’, in August 2016 via A.O.I. Records. The group have headlined plenty of their own shows and tours across the US and UK, and over the years, they have toured with the likes of Cake, Modest Mouse, the Flaming Lips, A Tribe Called Quest, Nas, the Pharcyde and many more. De La Soul have rescheduled their 30th Anniversary Tour of the UK to April 2021 in response to the coronavirus pandemic. They have also moved their headline show at Margate’s Dreamland to June 2021.
