De La Soul Announce 10th Album 'Cabin In The Sky' With New Single The Package

De La Soul have laid out plans for their 10th studio album.
The legendary hip hop group will drop 'Cabin In The Sky' through the Nas-affiliated label Mass Appeal on November 21, following up 2016's 'And The Anonymous Nobody'. It marks the group's first release since the death of founding member David "Trugoy the Dove" Jolicoeur in 2023.
Featuring collaborations with Killer Mike, Yukimi Nagano from Little Dragon, Nas, and Black Thought, as well as production from DJ Premier, Super Dave and others, the album is previewed by lead single The Package, which samples The Impressions' 1969 track Seven Years over soulful Pete Rock production.
The record also serves as the sixth instalment of the Legend Has It... series of albums from iconic hip hop artists curated by Mass Appeal. To date, the series has included Slick Rick's 'Victory', Raekwon's 'The Emperor's New Clothes', Ghostface Killah's 'Supreme Clientele 2', the part-posthumous Mobb Deep album 'Infinite', and most recently 'Harlem's Finest: Return of the King', the fifth and final studio album and fourth posthumous album from Big L. The label recently unveiled that the series will culminate with new music from Nas and DJ Premier in December.
De La Soul celebrated the 20th anniversary of their seventh album 'The Grind Date' in March, dropping a reissue alongside their 1994 'Clear Lake Auditorium' EP digitally and on limited edition CD and vinyl.
