Tuesday, 01 July 2025 Written by Jon Stickler

Raekwon will return with a new album later this month.

'The Emperor’s New Clothes' will drop on July 18 as part of the Legend Has It... series, of seven albums from hip hop icons, curated by the Nas-affiliated label Mass Appeal.

Featuring production from Swizz Beatz, Nottz, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League and Frank G, and Roadsart, the record also boasts collaborations with fellow Wu-Tang members Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Inspectah Deck, as well as Nas, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher of Griselda, and Marsha Ambrosius.

As part of the Legend Has It... series, Slick Rick released 'Victory' in May, his first full-length in 26 years. The label have also promised new music from Nas and DJ Premier, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, De La Soul, and Big L.

Raekwon is currently touring North America with Wu-Tang Clan on the legendary rap group's final tour, billed as Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber, which continues with a show in Portland, Oregon tonight (July 1).

He released his latest album,'The Wild', in 2017.
