Le Tigre Reform To Record New Track

Monday, 03 October 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

Le Tigre have reformed to record a new track.

Kathleen Hanna, founder of Bikini Kill and more recently the Julie Ruin, confirmed the news during a Talkhouse podcast interview with Meredith Graves of Perfect Pussy.

“Le Tigre just got back together in the studio, you have the scoop, for a special song that we are going to release hopefully, like, early to mid October. I will not say what it's about, but it's been really fun working with them again.”

The singer made it clear that this does not mean that the band, who formed in the late '90s and ended things in 2007, are planning a new album or tour.

Meanwhile, Hanna will return to the UK this winter with the Julie Ruin. They will call at London's KOKO on December 2, Gorilla in Manchester on December 4, Leeds' Brudenell Social Club on December 5 and the CCA in Glasgow on December 6.

The Julie Ruin Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Fri December 02 2016 - LONDON KOKO
Sun December 04 2016 - MANCHESTER Gorilla
Mon December 05 2016 - LEEDS Brudenell Social Club
Tue December 06 2016 - GLASGOW Art School
