Waterparks have released a new song, Hawaii (Stay Awake).

The song will open the Houston pop-punks’ debut album, ‘Double Dare’, which is set to arrive on November 4 through Equal Vision.

"What's special about "Hawaii (Stay Awake)" is that it was the only song that was made before our last EP, ‘Cluster’, was even done," vocalist Awsten Knight said. "It was this close to being track two on Cluster, instead of Territory. We loved both songs, so it was a tough choice, but we thought that the electronic, vocal-cut, pop-rock vibe was already covered well enough through songs like Crave and Pink, so we chose Territory strictly because it had a different feel than anything else from that release."

"We told ourselves we'd save this song for the album but then kind of forgot about it, as we had written about 40 plus more new songs after that time. Once we started sharing our new demos with close friends, they all freaked over Hawaii and by that point we hadn't thought about that one for a while, so we got to re-fall in love with it and decided it was the perfect opening track for our first album.”
