Anathema To support Opeth At London's SSE Arena Wembley

Monday, 17 October 2016 Written by Jon Stickler

Anathema will play their biggest UK show to date when they support Opeth at London's SSE Arena Wembley on November 19.

The British proggers will join Opeth in London following a string of intimate shows that will see them road test new material in Holmfirth, Cardiff, Brighton, Leamington Spa, Reading, Wolverhampton and Southampton. Speaking about the show, vocalist Vincent Cavanagh said:

"Wembley Arena is an iconic venue that evokes strong memories. Danny was drawn to the guitar as a way of life after seeing Mark Knopfler play there on TV.  Huge thanks to Opeth for having us. It'll be an honour."

Anathema are due to enter the studio after the tour but remain tight-lipped on information regarding the follow up to 2014's 'Distant Satellites'. Opeth released their new album, 'Sorceress', last month.
