Kate Bush has unveiled a track from her forthcoming live album.
A clip of King Of The Mountain, taken from her 2005 album 'Aerial', was premiered by Ken Bruce on BBC Radio 2 yesterday, but the full song was first played by Shaun Keaveny on BBC Radio 6 Music this morning, which you can listen back to here (skip to the 7.45am mark).
‘Before The Dawn’ is due for release on November 25 through the musician’s own label, Fish People, and will be distributed by Rhino. It will comprise of recordings from Bush’s 2014 series of shows at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, her first since 1979.
The record will be split over three CDs or four LPs. A press release added: “The conceptual heart of the show is reflected in the CD format, which is split over three discs centred around the two integral pieces – The Ninth Wave and A Sky Of Honey. CD1 ends with the pivotal track King Of The Mountain which bridges into The Ninth Wave suite of songs on CD2. The album was produced by Kate Bush. Nothing on the record was re-recorded or overdubbed.”
