Pins Post Video For Aggrophobe Featuring Iggy Pop

Thursday, 02 February 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

Pins have posted the video for Aggrophobe, their new single featuring Iggy Pop.

The track is taken from the Manchester quintet's new EP, 'Bad Thing', which is due to arrive on March 24 and follow up their sophomore album, 'Wild Nights', which hit shelves last year.

As well as the Iggy Pop collaboration, the five-track record will also include the band's take on Joy Division song Dead Souls. About the EP, they said:

“We took all the gear we could possibly find, and locked ourselves away in the Scottish wilderness for a fortnight - expecting to do some demos, and coming away with an EP that we really loved. It was an immersive experience - there was no civilisation for miles around so we were free to make noise and experiment.

We had talked about doing a Joy Division cover - I think it was Faith who suggested Dead Souls. Because we were in a rickety cottage and not a studio there was no isolation - so when people were recording parts everyone else had to be super quiet.”

The band will follow up the record's release with a spring UK tour, calling in Cardiff, Oxford, Glasgow, Newcastle, London, Bedford, Leicester and Manchester between April 10 and 22.
