Thurston Moore Announces New LP 'Rock n Roll Consciousness', Shares First Single Smoke Of Dreams

Thurston Moore will release a new album next month.

'Rock 'n' Roll Consciousness' is due to arrive on April 28 via Harvest Records/Caroline International. It was recorded by Paul Epworth at The Church studios in Crouch End, London with bassist Deb Googe, of My Bloody Valentine and Primal Scream, guitarist James Sedwards, of N?ught and Chrome Hoof, and drummer Steve Shelley, of Sonic Youth and Sun Kil Moon.

Moore recently announced four summer UK shows with The Thurston Moore Group, which also features Shelley, Googe, and Sedwards. They will call at St. Luke's in Glasgow, Manchester's Gorilla, the Lantern in Bristol and the Scala in London between June 12 and 15. 

Moore will also play the Barbican in London on April 8 as part of The Can Project, London's Jazz Cafe on April 11 with Black Top and support Swans at the Roundhouse on May 27.
