The Kills, Gruff Rhys, Nadine Shah And More Set To Join John Cale At Liverpool Sound City Show

The Kills and Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys are among the acts that will play live with John Cale at his only European show of the year at Liverpool Sound City, where he will celebrate the 50th anniversary of 'The Velvet Underground & Nico'.
Also set to appear with Cale on May 26 are Clinic, Fat White Family and Wild Beasts. About the performance, he said:
“It’s such a privilege to have this calibre of artistry about --- its not that they fit the legend, rather the legend is part of each of them. Stand back Liverpool - here we come!!”
Also confirmed for the line up are headliners the Human League and Metronomy, as well as Art Of Noise, A Certain Ratio,Slaves, Peaches, the Hunna, Carl Barat & the Jackals, the Japanese House, Fickle Friends, Pumarosa, the Magic Gang, Pale Waves, Touts, Be Charlotte, Judas, White Lies, Local Natives, Milburn, !!! (CHK CHK CHK), the Sherlocks, Cabbage, She Drew The Gun, the Vryll Society, the Shimmer Band, April and Paris Youth Foundation.
The city-based festival, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary, will take over Liverpool Waters at Clarence Dock between May 25 and 28. Tickets are on sale now,.
