Wednesday, 21 June 2017 Written by Laura Johnson

A video has been released for Chris Cornell's final single, The Promise.

The song was recorded with a 24-piece orchestra and shares its title with the film for which it was written, while the video was directed by Meiert Avis and Stefan Smith.

According to Rolling Stone, who premiered the video, it was released on World Refugee Day as per the late Soundgarden vocalist's wishes. All proceeds from the sale of the single, meanwhile, will be donated to The International Rescue Committee.

Cornell died on May 17, aged 52.
