Grandaddy Announce 'Under The Western Freeway' Reissue, Share New Demo

Wednesday, 13 September 2017 Written by Jon Stickler

Grandaddy will reissue 'Under The Western Freeway' to celebrate the album's 20th anniversary.

Due out on October 20 via Friendshipforever, the reissue comes as a double LP featuring a booklet of photos, flyers and liner notes from Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys, plus previously unreleased demos, including Hawaiian Island Wranglers, which is available to stream below.

The first 250 orders will also receive a bonus cassette, 'Practice 97', which contains eight unreleased recordings from a 1997 Grandaddy practice session.

Grandaddy released their latest album, 'Last Place', in March. In May, the band's founding member and bassist Kevin Garcia passed away after suffering a stroke.
