Goldie Lookin' Chain Share New Video Netflix In Bed

Thursday, 19 October 2017 Written by Helen Payne

Goldie Lookin' Chain have released a new video, Netflix in Bed.

The track is the latest to be shared from the Newport-based hip hop parody troupe's upcoming album, 'Fear of a Welsh Planet', which is set to drop on November 3.

Speaking about the video, Rhys Hutchings from the group said:

"You gotta love Netflix and the GLC sure do. The main problem with sitting in front of the television all day is that you don’t see anyone else and can easily forget how to make conversation. We’ve found that it’s useful to watch Netflix with a dog, or even some sort of cuddly toy, if your missus is at work all day, just to have someone to talk to about the latest episode of ‘Rick and Morty’ with and keep the old brain ticking over. Otherwise you can just become some sort of mumbling idiot and, as rappers, we have got to keep ourselves lyrically fit.”

Goldie Lookin Chain Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Noname - Room 25 (Album Review)
Mon 17 Sep 2018
You get the impression Noname still doesn't realise how immensely likeable she is – both as an artist and a human. There was much about the Chicago rapper's 2016 mixtape 'Telefone' that was impressive in a conventional sense, whether it was her smooth, jazz-inflected flows, impeccable taste in neo-soul production or ability to create crystal-clear imagery. But what listeners connected with most was her magnetic personality. More specifically, they bought into her compassionate worldview and propensity to derive hope from the bleakest of topics or circumstances.

Brockhampton - Iridescence (Album Review)
Wed 26 Sep 2018
With their inclusive ethos, motivational lyricism and taste for avant-garde pop production, Brockhampton have proved over the past year and half that they're the hip hop collective OFWGKTA should have been. That comparison might seem trite from an artistic perspective, but it fits because of the impact both groups have had on a predominantly young audience. But where OFWGKTA had a misanthropic streak, Brockhampton's messaging is more wholesome and empowering.
