Alice Glass Accuses Former Crystal Castles Bandmate Ethan Kath Of Rape And Assault; Kath Denies

Alice Glass has released a statement describing alleged abuse by Ethan Kath, her former bandmate in Crystal Castles.
Glass, who left the band in 2014, posted the message to her website, accusing Kath, real name Claudio Palmieri, of long-term physical and emotional abuse, including rape.
“It has taken me years to recover from enduring almost a decade of abuse, manipulation and psychological control,” she writes. “I am still recovering.” Read the statement here.
Kath has responded in a statement to Pitchfork, via his attorney: “I am outraged and hurt by the recent statements made by Alice about me and our prior relationship. Her story is pure fiction and I am consulting my lawyers as to my legal options. Fortunately, there are many witnesses who can and will confirm that I was never abusive to Alice.”
Glass recently released her first solo EP, while last year Crystal Castles put out 'Amnesty (I)', with new vocalist Edith Frances.
