Eels Announce New Album 'The Deconstruction' And Summer UK Shows

Eels have announced their new album.
Following yesterday's cryptic clip, they have confirmed 'The Deconstruction' will arrive on April 6 and follow up 2014's 'The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett'.
The new LP was recorded at The Compound in Los Feliz, Los Angeles and The Pie in Pasadena, California and performed by Eels singer-songwriter E (Mark Oliver Everett), Koool G Murder and P-Boo, with the Deconstruction Orchestra and Choir. E also produced the record, alongside Mickey Petralia, who previously worked with the band on 1998's 'Electro-Shock Blues'.
Introducing the new album, E said:
“Here are 15 new EELS tracks that may or may not inspire, rock, or not rock you. The world is going nuts. But if you look for it, there is still great beauty to be found. Sometimes you don’t even have to look for it. Other times you have to try to make it yourself. And then there are times you have to tear something apart to find something beautiful inside.”
Eels will support the record with a US and European tour, with the latter including stops in London, where they'll play the O2 Academy Brixton, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin. Tickets for the Irish show go on sale at 9am on January 25, while tickets for the UK dates will be available at 9am on January 26.
