Frank Turner Announces New Album 'Be More Kind' And Accompanying UK And Ireland Tour

Frank Turner has announced a new album.
'Be More Kind', the follow up to last year's greatest hits collection 'Songbook', will arrive on May 4 via Xtra Mile Recordings/Polydor Records.
The record was inspired by a line from the Clive James poem Leçons Des Ténèbres: "I should have been more kind. It is my fate. To find this out, but find it out too late."
Turner said:
"A lot of older, wiser people tend to say things like that, that the things that come out in the wash at the end of a human life are the way you treated the people around you. In the modern world, that’s a lesson that all of us, myself included could do to learn.”
The folk-punk singer-songwriter will support the album with a UK and Ireland tour, which will conclude at his previously announced Lost Evenings festival at London's Roundhouse in May. Support will come from Arkells and the Homeless Gospel Choir.
Tickets for the new dates go on sale at 10am on February 2. Meanwhile, check out 1933, the first track to be shared from the new album, below.
Turner will also play EBGBs in Liverpool on February 3. The show is a benefit for Safe Gigs For Women and forms part of Independent Venue Week.
