Laura Veirs Announces New Album 'The Lookout' And Accompanying Tour

Laura Veirs has announced a new album and accompanying tour.
'The Lookout', which was recorded and produced by her husband, Tucker Martine, will arrive on April 13, with dates in the US and Europe set to follow in May, prior to UK shows during the following month.
The American singer-songwriter will head to Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Cardiff, Bristol and Brighton between June 2 and 11. Tickets go on sale at 9am on February 2.
Introducing the new record, Veirs said:
"My 10th album is done and dusted! I wrote songs every day for over a year to get this batch. My longtime producer (and husband) Tucker Martine recorded and produced it last summer at Flora Recording and Playback. Many dear friends played on it including special guests Sufjan Stevens and Jim James of My Morning Jacket . It’s a concept album about the fragility of precious things. It’s about the importance of looking out for each other. I’m proud of this one and hope you enjoy it! Thanks to all involved!"
