Amanda Palmer will return to the UK this spring for an intimate run of An Evening With... shows.
Palmer will call in Gateshead, Birmingham, Liverpool, Carmarthen and Dublin, alongside appearances at Bath Festival, Brighton Festival and Norfolk and Norwich Festival, during May, with tickets on sale at 10am on February 16. Comedian Andrew O’Neill will provide support.
The shows, her first tour since 2012's Kickstarter-funded 'Theatre is Evil', will feature Palmer performing on both piano and ukulele. Speaking about the dates, she said:
"I'm still working on and honing material for a new solo piano record, and it’s an incredibly personal piano mess of birth and death and dark humour. Playing these songs for audiences is giving me the roadmap about how to record them, and I’ve always wanted to explore the deeper UK cities. Since Neil (Gaiman, Palmer's husband) and I are basing ourselves in London this spring while he works on Good Omens for the BBC, this is the time. I’ll finally see Norwich! I hope they are ready."
Since 2015, Palmer has been using the subscription membership site Patreon.com to fund her work.
