James Iha To Miss A Perfect Circle's Upcoming Tour Dates

Friday, 16 March 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

James Iha will skip A Perfect Circle's 2018 tour dates.

A representative for the band confirmed to Loudwire that Iha will be busy with the Smashing Pumpkins, preparing for their reunion tour, with Greg Edwards from Failure and Autolux filling in.

"As you most likely have heard, James Iha’s original band, the Smashing Pumpkins, have announced a Summer tour that James will be taking part in. Because James will be busy gearing up for that tour he won’t be able to join us for our upcoming tour dates. James’ temporary replacement will be none other than our longtime friend and one of our favorite guitar players, Greg Edwards (Failure/Autolux). We want to reiterate that this is a temporary situation and James remains a part of A Perfect Circle."

A Perfect Circle hit the road next month in support of 'Eat The Elephant', the long awaited follow up to 2004's 'eMOTIVe', which is out on April 20.

It was announced last month that three quarters of the Smashing Pumpkins' original line up will reunite - vocalist Billy Corgan, drummer Jimmy Chamberlin and guitarist Iha, alongside Jeff Schroeder - with original Pumpkins bassist D'arcy Wretzky left out after claiming that Corgan invited her to perform but then withdrew the offer.

A Perfect Circle Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Tue June 12 2018 - MANCHESTER O2 Apollo (United Kingdom)
Wed June 13 2018 - LONDON O2 Academy Brixton (United Kingdom)
Thu June 14 2018 - LONDON O2 Academy Brixton (United Kingdom)

True Rockers Take Risks: Why Monster Truck Are Set To Explode
Tue 25 Sep 2018
Armed with a bulldozing brand of stoner-infused, bluesy rock ‘n’ roll, Canada’s Monster Truck have steadily established themselves as a must see live act over the last decade. Having battered more and more eardrums into submission at progressively larger venues, particularly as a support act to Deep Purple, Alter Bridge and Black Stone Cherry, arena headlining status has increasingly seemed like it’s theirs for the taking. And if their relentlessly anthemic third album ‘True Rockers’ is anything to go by, heaven help anyone who tries to stop them.

Mon 08 Oct 2018
Photo: Gene Kirkland There’s something bittersweet about this excellent third album from Slash, Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. ‘Living The Dream’ is bursting at the seams with old school, anthemic rock ‘n’ roll of the highest calibre, but at the same time it’s hard to shake the feeling that the person behind such exhilarating music and exceptional guitar work is the very last of a dying breed.
