A Perfect Circle Drop Surprise Single Starless Ahead Of UK And European Tour

A Perfect Circle have surprise released a new song.
A dark, atmospheric slow-burner driven by raw guitar riffs, Starless features Josh Freese on drums. It's the Maynard James Keenan and Billy Howerdel led alt-rock band's first new music since Kindred, their contribution to 'Sessanta E.P.P.P.', a 2024 collaborative EP with Primus and Keenan's other band Puscifer.
Written by Keenan and Howerdell, the track arrives ahead of A Perfect Circle's European tour, which kicks off with two nights at London's O2 Academy Brixton on June 3 and 4. Keenan said:
"Absolutely chuffed to debut this new track on stage in the UK. Of course I’m excited to release the recordings but our songs always take on an expanded personality once we start playing them live."
Howerdel added: "Some songs get kicked around and massaged for years. But once in a while, one takes shape quickly, as if it had been there all along."
The band recently expanded their touring schedule with additional dates in Japan, Hawaii and Chile, as well as a second night in Sydney, with Puscifer set to join for dates across Mexico, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Hawaii at the end of the year.
A Perfect Circle released their most recent studio album, 'Eat The Elephant’, in 2018, followed by 'Cinquanta (Live)' in 2024.
In related news, Puscifer — completed by Mat Michell and Carina Round — will take The Normal Isn't Tour across Europe in the autumn, before heading to the UK and Ireland for shows at London's new Brtish Airways ARC, Manchester Academy, the O2 Academy Glasgow and Dublin's Helix between November 7 and 12. Support on the run will come from Dave Hill. Tickets are on sale now.
The tour takes its name from Puscifer's first studio album in over five years, 'Normal Isn't', released in February.
