Kenny Rogers Cancels Farewell Tour

Thursday, 05 April 2018 Written by Huw Baines

Kenny Rogers has been forced to cancel the remainder of his farewell tour.

The 79-year-old country legend, who was scheduled to play his final UK concert at Blackpool’s Livewire festival in August, is "working through a series of health challenges" according to a statement from his management.

"His doctors fully expect the outcome to be great," it continues. “But they have advised him to cancel all performances through the end of the year to focus on recuperation.”

Livewire intend to announce a replacement artist. They added: “Tickets for the Saturday night will be valid for the new line up. Alternatively refunds will be available at point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding.”
