The track is cut from their sophomore album, 'BLOOD', which came out in February through Loma Vista Recordings. Its accompanying short film, meanwhile, was directed and produced by the band's frontman Mike Milosh with Geneviève Medow Jenkins.
Speaking about the song and video, Milosh said:
“’Phoenix’ is a song about rebirth. The video for ‘Phoenix’ is a representation of the storms that are needed to instigate that change, renouncing the mundane. Enough change best leads to communion with the natural world and the natural self. Change is a strong woman who comes into your life and shows you your true self. Hence, change is Phoenix.”
Rhye will play Manchester tomorrow as part of a wider European tour.
