Hugh Cornwell has shared details of his new LP, 'Monster'.
The album will arrive via Sony Music on October 5 and will feature tracks written about Lou Reed, Mose Allison, Evel Knievel, Hedy Lamarr, Phil Silvers, Benito Mussolini and Robert Mugabe. Discussing the record, the former Stranglers songwriter said:
"These are people who have defied categorisation. I’ve spent my whole life trying to defy categorisation. If someone wants to put me into some sort of a box, I'll do my best to defy it. You could call it being obstreperous, but it’s also got something to do with being drawn to people who are dichotomous."
The album will be released with a companion disc, 'Restoration', containing a collection of re-recorded acoustic versions Stranglers hits. View the cover art and tracklists, below.

To celebrate the album launch, Cornwell will head out on tour in November. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on July 6.
