Morrissey Postpones July UK and European Shows

Saturday, 30 June 2018 Written by Huw Baines

Morrissey has postponed his July UK and European shows.

The former Smiths frontman was due to play two nights at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl and dates in Edinburgh, Portsmouth and Reading. In a statement, the decision was blamed on “logistical circumstances beyond our control”.

On Thursday night, Morrissey’s management took to Facebook to criticise former Haçienda DJ Dave Haslam, who had organised a free Love Music Hate Racism party around the Manchester shows on July 8 and 9  “in response to Morrissey’s divisive views, and his support for the far-right.”
