Thursday, 19 July 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

A new David Bowie box set has been announced.

'Loving The Alien (1983-1988)' is due to arrive through Parlophone Records on October 12. A press release explains that it will contain an "exclusive new production of the 1987 album 'Never Let Me Down', by Bowie producer/engineer Mario McNulty with new instrumentation by Bowie collaborators Reeves Gabrels, David Torn, Sterling Campbell and Tim Lefebvre. Never Let Me Down (2018) also boasts a string quartet with arrangements by Nico Muhly and a guest cameo by Laurie Anderson on Shining Star (Makin’ My Love)."

The set is the fourth in a series, following 'Five Years (1969-1973)', 'Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976)', and 'A New Career In A New Town (1977-1982)'. Head here for further details and here to listen to the first radio play of the 2018 edit of Zeroes on 6 Music.
