Chaka Demus and Pliers have postponed their upcoming European 25th anniversary tour dates.
The duo were due to embark on a 13-date tour, which included nine UK dates, starting later this month but have been forced to pospone the run after Chaka Demus fell ill at his home in Jamaica last week. A statement from the duo's management confirmed the news:
"Chaka Demus is simply not well enough to perform right now. They attended to a show in Martinique last week, but when Chaka returned to Jamaica he started to have headaches and a high fever. He didn't want to take any chances, so he went to the doctor who treated him. He is now recovering and been placed on observational rest.
"Chaka Demus and Pliers want to apologise to their fans and they are grateful for their understanding, but this was unavoidable. They were looking forward to the UK tour so much as it was their first in over ten years. The shows will be rescheduled as soon as possible."
Fans are advised to contact their point of purchase to receive a full refund for tickets.
