Plague Vendor Return With New Track I Only Speak In Friction

Wednesday, 25 July 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

Plague Vendor are back with a new track.

I Only Speak In Friction is one of two new songs they recorded with Epitaph founder and Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz and engineer Morgan Stratton at Sunset Sound Studio 2 in Hollywood.

It is the California post-punks' first new material since the release of their sophomore album in 2016. The band are soon set to join producer John Congleton to start work on the follow up to 'Bloodsweat'.

Drummer Luke Perine said:

“As a band, we grow anxious—often depressed to some degree—during our downtime. Having these two days to get in the studio ahead of working on the next album released a lot of that tension. It became a more productive two days than we expected, as we were only planning on recording one song. I think we are reaching a higher level of focus together as we go into this next album.”
