Napalm Death, Entombed A.D. And Vader Among New Names For Damnation Festival

Tuesday, 31 July 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

Damnation Festival will once again take over Leeds University Union on November 3.

The one-day event is regarded by many music fans as the UK's best end of year metal gathering. Founded in 2005, organisers have pulled together some crushing line ups over its 13 year run, featuring all shades of heavy music from the genre's veteran bands to the cutting edge of punk and metal across four stages.

What? An all-day heavy music festival hell-bent on snapping necks.

Where? Leeds University Union.

When? November 3.

Who? The first line up announcement for the event was made back in May, confirming exclusive sets by Ihsahn and Batushka plus appearances from the Ocean Collective and Fukpig. The line up has expanded over the last two months with the added horror of Anaal Nathrakh, the Ocean, NeObliviscaris, Celeste, Møl and Mourning Beloveth among others joining the bill.

Napalm Death, Entombed AD, Vader, OHHMS, progressive black metallers A Forest of Stars and rising hardcore outfit Leeched are the line up's latest additions, while six more bands are to be announced in the coming months.

Tickets? On sale now, priced from £43.00 plus fees.
