Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis Announces New Solo Album 'Elastic Days'

J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. has announced a new album.
'Elastic Days', his third solo effort through Sub Pop, will arrive on November 9, with a 23-date North American tour scheduled to kick off just a couple of days before in Vancouver.

Here Mascis dispenses with the usual layers of fuzz and feedback, leaving his voice clear and unencumbered, complemented by an acoustic backdrop and backing vocals from Zoë Randel of Luluc. That being said, he does plug in for a few short guitar solos, fear not!
