Open Mike Eagle Announces New EP 'What Happens When I Try To Relax', Shares Relatable New Song

Open Mike Eagle has announced details of his new EP, 'What Happens When I Try to Relax', to be released soon.
The record's lead single, Relatable (peak OME), is available to stream via Soundcloud below, with the news arriving a year after the Los Angeles-based artist's previous studio album, 'Brick Body Kids Still Daydream'. Discussing the new song, he said:
"It’s too complicated for a quick explanation. It's about a lot of things. It’s about expectations of form, anxiety, middle age and middle class. And that’s just the parts I know how to put into words a couple months after writing it."
The album is Open Mike Eagle's latest undertaking in a string of upcoming projects, including a new show with Baron Vaughn titled The New Negroes which will premiere on Comedy Central next year following a run of US and European dates this autumn.
