Chris Cornell Box Set Due In November, Listen To Unreleased Song When Bad Does Good

Friday, 21 September 2018 Written by Jon Stickler

A career-spanning Chris Cornell box set will be released on November 16.

The eponymous release was curated by the late rocker's wife, Vicky, alongside his bandmates and friends, with the collection featuring solo work, live recordings and songs with Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave.

The collection will be available as a 17-song single disc and on double vinyl, as well as a super deluxe version containing four CDs, seven LPs and a DVD. The set also contains a 66-page hardcover book featuring unreleased photos, a poster plus notes penned by Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron, Audioslave’s Tom Morello, Temple of the Dog’s Mike McCready and producer Brendan O’Brien.

Most of the interest lies with 11 previously unreleased tracks, including a cover of Prince’s Nothing Compares 2 U and an original song, When Bad Does Good, which was produced, recorded, and mixed by Cornell and found in his personal recordings archive. Check it out below.
