Wednesday, 07 November 2018 Written by Laura Johnson

New material could be on the way from the Weeknd sooner than we thought.

During his HXOUSE Live show in Toronto on November 6 Abel Tesfaye said: "I wanna let you guys know being in Toronto these past two days I haven't been this inspired in years, I got to tell you. I want you guys to be the first to know I'm working on my new album right now. 'Chapter 6' coming soon, let's get it!"

The Weeknd's last release was his 'My Dear Melancholy' EP, which dropped in March, while his last LP was 2016's 'Starboy'. He followed up the announcement at the show with this tweet: "some chapters are smaller than others. not this next one though..."
