Frank Bello And David Ellefson's Altitudes And Attitude Announce Debut LP And UK Dates

Altitudes and Attitude, a collaboration between Anthrax's Frank Bello and Megadeth’s David Ellefson, will release their debut album 'Get It Out' on January 18 via Megaforce.
The project began in 2010, when Bello and Ellefson started touring together to lead clinics for the amp manufacturer Hartke. 'Get It Out', meanwhile, came about after nearly four years of writing and recording.
The LP features production by Jay Ruston, drums courtesy of Jeff Friedl (who's played with A Perfect Circle, Devo, Filter) and some impressive guest stars, including Ace Frehley and Gus G. Bello said:
"All I ever wanted to do was write good songs. I’ve always been a melody guy. I love hooks; I love catchy songs with a good riff.
I’ve learned that writing songs is very cathartic. A lot of these lyrics are about the inner struggles of my life, and about the rage that has built up from my life experiences - my brother’s murder; my father abandoning my family when we were young, leaving us with no funds to pay the bills, the ups and downs of life in general. I’ve always had an anger inside that music really helps me deal with."
"The album has the perfect title," Ellefson added. "This is music that has been living inside of us for so long. There’s a big musical part of each of us that doesn’t get heard anywhere else."
Bello and Ellefson first aired their Altitudes and Attitude material in early 2014, with a self-titled EP containing three songs: Booze and Cigarettes, Tell The World, and Here Again. All of them have been remixed and remastered for inclusion on 'Get It Out' as bonus tracks. Head below to stream another song from the album, Out Here, which is anchored by a vicious descending riff.
The band will follow up the release of 'Get It Out' with UK headlining dates in February, including stops in Nottingham, Manchester, London and Norwich. They will also support Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators in late February and early March at their European shows.
