Ex Hex have announced details of their second album, 'It's Real'.

The American trio will release their first full length since their 2014 debut 'Rips' via Merge on March 22, followed by tour dates on both sides of the Atlantic in April and May. UK stops include Leeds, Manchester, Bristol and London, with tickets for the shows on sale at 10am on January 11.

Mary Timony, Betsy Wright and Laura Harris teamed back up with 'Rips' producer Jonah Takagi for the new record, with the group also experimenting with countless combinations of instruments, pedals, and amps. They even incorporated vocalist and guitarist Timony's bygone Rockman, a small headphone amp. She recounts:

"It’s only about the size of a Walkman and takes eight AA batteries, but it sounds massive. We read that parts of (Def Leppard's) Hysteria were tracked through it, and when we finally plugged it in, it blew our minds!"

The trio have also shared the lead single from the record, Cosmic Cave, which pairs glam riffs with a rip-roaring frenzied pace. Take a listen to the new song, and check out the album's artwork and tracklist, below.

'It's Real' tracklist:

1. Tough Enough
2. Rainbow Shiner
3. Good Times
4. Want It to Be True
5. Diamond Drive
6. No Reflection
7. Another Dimension

9. Radiate
10. Talk to Me
