Shockwave carries a vintage rock and roll vibe and serves as the first track off the former Oasis vocalist's upcoming second solo LP, 'Why Me? Why Not?', the follow up to 2017's 'As You Were'.
Gallagher debuted the track at an intimate gig at Hackney Round Chapel, London earlier this week but has now officially released it. It was written with his 'As You Were' collaborators, Andrew Wyatt, who scooped the Academy Award for Best Original Song as co-writer of Shallow from the film A Star Is Born, and Grammy Award-winner Greg Kurstin, who also produced the song.
The full-length is expected to arrive later this year. The singer's documentary film, As It Was, meanwhile, hits cinemas today.
Gallagher has some huge summer shows in the diary. He'll play Cork's Irish Independent Park and the Eden Project prior to his Glastonbury performance.
