The Rolling Stones Havana Moon Immersive Concert Screening To Tour UK In Autumn

Wednesday, 12 June 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

A screening of one of the Rolling Stones' biggest concerts will tour the UK this year.

The band's Havana Moon performance, which saw them play to 500,000 fans at a free outdoor gig in the Cuban capital in March 2016, will be projected onto supersize ultra high definition screens via cutting-edge cinematic technology and state-of-the-art soundsystems.

The immersive, multi-sensory event will also feature Cuban dancers, set designs that mimic the orginal production and concert lighting, allowing fans to experience the historic, record-breaking show almost as if they were there.

The 11-date tour begins on October 14 in Southend before heading to Bath, Reading, Watford, Hull, Leicester, Llandudno, Edinburgh, Perth and Carlisle, wrapping up at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town on October 27. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on June 14, priced from £35 plus fees. Speaking about the Havana Moon gig, frontman Mick Jagger said:

"We were so happy to be playing Cuba in 2016. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. Sharing the stage with the 'revolutionary' Ronnie Wood, Charlie 'Che' Watts and 'compadre' Keith Richards was one very special night."

The Rolling Stones, meanwhile, recently announced the rescheduled dates for the postponed North American leg of their No Filter Tour, with the veteran rockers now set to restart the trek on June 21 at Chicago's Soldier Field.
