Avril Lavigne Confirms Dates For First North American Tour In Five Years

Avril Lavigne will launch her Head Above Water Tour this fall.
The pop-rock singer will kick off her first trek in five years on September 14 in Seattle, Washington. Featuring 15 dates, it'll also make stops in Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, New York, Boston, Wallingford, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Washington, and Philadelphia.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on June 28. One dollar from each ticket purchased will benefit the Avril Lavigne Foundation, which supports people with Lyme disease, serious illnesses or disabilities.
The tour shares its name with the Canadian singer-songwriter's album of the same name, her sixth full-length to date, which arrived in February and followed up her 2013 self-titled LP. She announced the news with a post on social media.
