The Replacements Detail 'Don't Tell A Soul' Box Set

Friday, 19 July 2019 Written by Jon Stickler

The Replacements have announced details of a box set centered on their 1989 album 'Don't Tell a Soul'.

Produced by Matt Wallace and mixed by Chris Lod-Alge, 'Dead Man's Pop' is due to arrive through Rhino on September 27 and features 60-tracks across four CDS and one vinyl LP comprising live material, a studio session with Tom Waits, and the band's 1989 album "mixed as it was originally intended."

The box set comes with a hardcover book packed with dozens of rare pictures and a detailed history of the album's era by Bob Mehr, author of the 2015 biography Trouble Boys: The True Story Of The Replacements. Mehr also helped produce the box with Rhino’s Jason Jones. Take a look at the artwork above.
