Thrice And Refused Announce Co-Headline Tour Supports, Change London Venue

Monday, 12 August 2019 Written by Helen Payne

Thrice and Refused have announced the support acts for their co-headline tour.

Gouge Away will accompany the rock and punk bands on their UK dates between October 26 and November 1, while Petrol Girls will open across mainland Europe after their own headline UK dates.

In addition, the London show of the tour has changed venue. Originally scheduled to take place at the O2 Academy Brixton on October 30, Thrice and Refused will now perform at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire due to logistical reasons. All tickets remain valid, and are on sale now.

Refused are set to release 'War Music' on October 18, the follow up to 2015's 'Freedom'. Meanwhile, Thrice released 'Palms' via Epitaph Records last year.

The end of any decade is, essentially, meaningless. We attach poignancy to it because we’re all narcissists in some way—we want this decade, our decade, to stand for something. Musically, the ‘90s did a better job than some of its peers in allowing us to think that: young people were swept up by grunge, or the gloss of modern R&B, or punk’s chart explosion, or the battle between the east and west coasts.
