Issues Announce New Album 'Oblivion', Line Up UK And European Tour

Tuesday, 13 August 2019 Written by Helen Payne

Issues have announced their third album.

‘Beautiful Oblivion’ will arrive on October 4 via Rise Records, and will be supported with tours of the UK, Europe and North America. The former will include stops in Cardiff, Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London between October 12 and 17. Tickets go on sale at 9am on August 16. Head here for pre-sale tickets.

Drink About It, the riotous second cut from the Atlanta band's new LP, follows up May’s Tapping Out, and seamlessly blends elements of a modern R&B vocal style with heavy metal guitar riffs and percussion. Vocalist Tyler Carter commented:

"Drink About It is something I feel everyone can relate to. The song, quite frankly, is about cheater being found out by their unfortunate partner. The idea is this: 'I think you know... you know something... how much do you know...? I'm just gonna let them sweat it out a little bit.' But that play on words is also saying, 'You're all I drink about' and at this point I wanna sweat you out of my system."

Check out the dramatic Drink About It video, directed by Dillon Novak and Cole Schwartz, below.

‘Beautiful Oblivion’ tracklist:

  1. Here's To You
  2. Drink About It
  3. Find Forever
  4. Tapping Out
  5. Without You
  6. Rain
  7. Downfall
  8. Second Best
  9. Get It Right

Bleached’s return is powered by a desire for change. ‘Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough?’ is the first album that the sisters Clavin, Jennifer and Jessica, have recorded since deciding to get sober, and it’s also a bold attempt to fashion their winningly bratty brand of garage-rock into more expressive, sophisticated shapes.
