Joe Satriani Lines Up Spring Release For New Studio Album 'Shapeshifting'

Joe Satriani will put out his 18th studio album this year.
The guitar virtuoso took to social media to confirm he'll release 'Shapeshifting' this spring, although an exact date it still to be determined. A previously announced UK and European tour supporting the record is slated to kick off in mid-April.
Satriani will be joined on the road by his touring band, drummer Kenny Aronoff, bassist Bryan Beller and keyboardist Rai Thistlethwayte. Head below for a full list of dates.
The news comes on the eve of his induction into the Metal Hall of Fame. Further album details are to be released soon.
Update 07/02: 'Shapeshifting' has been confirmed to arrive on April 10 via Sony Music/Legacy Recordings.
