Four Year Strong Detail Fifth Album 'Brain Pain', Stream Title Track And Talking Myself In Circles

Wednesday, 15 January 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Four Year Strong have announced their new album.

The Massachusetts punk-rockers will release 'Brain Pain' on February 28, marking the band's first full-length since their 2015 self-titled record. The group started working on the record over two years ago, enlisting producer Will Putney, who previously engineered the band's 2010 album, 'Enemy Of The World'. Frontman Alan Day said:

"We didn’t want to set a strict deadline for this album because we wanted to be sure we took the time to write the best songs possible. In the past our writing and recording was so dependent on getting something out in time to go on tour; this time we really had the opportunity to take our time and work through these ideas.

"We were really emotionally invested in this music so we wanted to go with someone who we knew would care about it as much as we did and Will was that guy."

Alongside news of the album, the band have shared two songs from it, Talking Myself In Circles and the title track. The former switches between chugging guitars and a catchy, melodic chorus, and comes with a video shot and edited by the band. The latter bursts into life with an ominously heavy introduction.

Four Year Strong will support Silverstein in North America as they celebrate 20 years as a band. Following that, they'll return to the UK for Slam Dunk in May.

'Brain Pain' tracklist:

1. It's Cool
2. Get Out Of My Head
3. Crazy Pills
4. Talking Myself In Circles
5. Learn To Love The Lie
6. Brain Pain
7. Mouth Full Of Dirt
8. Seventeen
9. Be Good When I'm Gone
10. The Worst Part About Me
11. Usefully Useless
12. Young at Heart
