Lionel Richie Postpones Summer UK Shows, Reschedules Irish Dates To 2021

Lionel Richie has postponed the UK leg of his Hello! Hits Tour.
The legendary performer was due to headline Wrexham Racecourse, Scarborough's Open Air Theatre, London's Hampton Court Palace, the Eden Project, Nocturne Live at Blenheim Palace, York Sports Club, Lytham Festival and Cardiff Castle this summer. However, his plans have been put on hold due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In a social media post, he said:
"Dear Fans,
"Out of respect for the safety and well-being of the fans, band, crew and event organizers and due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it is confirmed that my European tour will no longer take place in 2020.
"Every consideration has been given but with the subsequent governmental rulings it is no longer possible to undertake the tour.
"Efforts are being made to reschedule these dates to take place in the summer of 2021 and a full list of the new dates will be shared shortly, but in the meantime please visit the individual festival/event websites for further information.

Rescheduled UK dates are set to follow. Meanwhile, Richie's Dublin show at St Anne's Park has already been moved to June 5, 2021 and he'll headline Belsonic at Belfast's Ormeau Park the next day. Original tickets remain valid for the new dates.
