Janelle Monáe has dropped the video for Turntables.
The powerful clip — or Emotion Picture as she calls it — shows scenes of inspirational Black figures from the past and present, who are in pursuit of a change in regime for an America that serves its citizens equally.
The sweeping, soulful track landed on September 9 and was written for the new Amazon Studios documentary which focuses on battling systemic voter suppression, All In: The Fight For Democracy, available via Amazon Prime Video on September 18.
It's the R&B star's first new music since her 2019 track That's Enough from the Lady And The Tramp soundtrack. Her last album was 2018's 'Dirty Computer'.
