Jay Electronica Releases Long-Awaited Album 'Act II: The Patents Of Nobility (The Turn)'

Tuesday, 06 October 2020 Written by Jon Stickler

Jay Electronica has released his long-shelved album, 'Act II: The Patents of Nobility (The Turn)'.

Having first teased the project in 2007 after putting out his debut mixtape, 'Act I: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge)', the Just Blaze-produced LP recently leaked online and so the rapper subsequently dropped it himself via Tidal.

The long-awaited record seemed imminent in 2010 following Electronica's deal with Jay-Z's Roc Nation label, and then again in 2012 after he posted details of the tracklist, which includes contributions from Jay-Z, the-Dream, LaTonya Givens, the Bullitts, Charlotte and the late Serge Gainsbourg, Diddy and Kanye West. However, a release failed to materialise.

Back in March, Electronica dropped his debut album, 'A Written Testimony'.
