Matt Berninger has announced the digital release of an expanded deluxe edition of 'Serpentine Prison'.

Scheduled to arrive online on March 12, a physical version will follow on May 21. The collection will feature the record's original tracklist plus six new songs, including two originals alongside reworkings of tracks by Eddie Floyd, Morphine, Bettye Swan, and the Velvet Underground.

The National frontman put out his Booker T. Jones-produced solo debut in October 2020, with the expanded edition previously only available on limited edition double vinyl.

Head below to listen to new cut Let It Be, which is not a Beatles cover, but a folky acoustic track with gentle vocals that was written with Mike Brewer.

Berninger also recently collaborated with Julia Stone on her single We All Have.
