Peter Hook and the Manchester Camerata Orchestra have confirmed two UK shows.

The legendary bassist will take The Sound Of Joy Division Orchestrated concert to the London Palladium on September 10 and Manchester's O2 Apollo on September 17.

The performances will combine Joy Division's famous works with a full orchestra in a concert created by Hook, who acts as executive producer for the project, with Musical Director Tim Crooks. The collective previously presented classical reworkings of Joy Division's catalogue at the Royal Albert Hall in 2018.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am on March 5. Discussing the dates, Hook said:

"This has to be one of the most nerve-wracking things I have ever done. To sell out the Royal Albert Hall before anyone had even heard it was a fantastic compliment it has to be said. The reaction has been wonderful and this time around I’m looking forward to being able to enjoy it myself. To bring it to Manchester for the first time will be very, very special."

Crooks added: "It's great news that we’ll be bringing this amazing show to the Palladium and the Apollo, two of my favourite ever venues. As musicians, we've all missed being able to perform over the last year, just as fans have missed their favourite gigs.  Let’s hope these concerts promise a long-awaited release for everybody there."

Peter Hook Presents Joy Division Orchestrated Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows

Fri September 10 2021 - LONDON Palladium
Fri September 17 2021 - MANCHESTER O2 Apollo
